Lennon Circus Brings Traffic & Sales to NewsagencyAugust 27th, 2010We have been selected at Booval Fair News as the only ticketing point in Ipswich for the Lennon Brothers Circus performances over the next 10 days. This has been great as we receive some FREE tickets for staff and ourselves, as-well as a small fee for each sale. Lennon Bros have included this detail in all their advertising, and we have emailed this to over 2,000 customers in our web site database. This email has been sent to those in our postcode area of interest and hence not to those who are out of the area and would be disinterested. This is key in ensuring you have relevant communication to your community and do not bombard your valued customers with irrelevant material. But the result for the store has been great…email responses, phone calls and all customers visiting the store to collect their tickets… Anyone interested in this offer can contact me (info@bfnews.com.au) and I will put them in contact with Lennon Bros as they might tour your area. In this respect contact should have been made with your local schools and details of your offers made. Whilst I personally have only really been focusing through our store at Booval Fair News for a few years I know that our dialogue is ongoing with the schools. I also know that having a web site and web ordering has been a significant reason why we are able to support the schools. Web ordering is now taken as just one of many ways of retailing, and most schools like to have the process of school supply ordering as simple as possible for their parents. It also enables us to compete with the many multinationals who try to tap into this market. Our biggest advantage is our local presence, something most of the big suppliers do not have. So get out their and market yourself, tell the schools you have web ordering, tell them you can be their school’s resource for accessing school lists;and tell them that you are local and flexible. We even add Lay-By to our BTS offer and I consider it to be a killer application, something that many other suppliers do not. Remember it is a tight time with Christmas, holidays, etc so Lay-by does offer value to your customers. Our prices are also great, our support from suppliers (like GNS) is great, so expand your presence into this market…It is hard work, but is also rewarding and engages your wider local community.
